The Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) is a national-level non-governmental organisation which represents and safeguards the interests of the private business sector. acts as a bridge between the State and the private sector, and represents business interest and views to the Union Government.
Founded in 1919, UMFCCI celebrates its 100th-year anniversary of supporting Myanmar businesses in 2019. It includes 16 Regional and State Chambers of Commerce and Industry, 9 Border Trade Chambers of Commerce and Industry, 51 Affiliated National Level Federations and Associations and over 40,000 members. To date, it has signed 154 memorandums of understanding with international organisations.

To support the development of Myanmar’s economy, UMFCCI works to create opportunities for Myanmar exporters to take their businesses to overseas markets, participating in over a hundred such events annually in and outside Myanmar.
UMFCCI is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ASEAN Business Advisory Council, East Asia Business Council, Great Mekong Sub-region Business Forum, Ayeyarwaddy Chao-Phraya Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS), and works closely with the World Bank, IMF, World Trade Organisation and the Asia Development Bank, providing valuable experience of the requirements of international businesses and markets.
